The Custody Lawyer as Story Teller
Humans understand the world through storytelling. Lawyers, mediators and evaluators tell the stories that decision makers (parents and judges) use to craft a parenting plan. Effective custody narratives present the facts decision makers need to craft a parenting plan for a specific family, and help frame a new paradigm for the family’s changing relationships. This workshop will take a multidisciplinary look at the powerful role of narrative, and teach professionals how to become better storytellers.
